Hello, I'm Gerry Hurley.
I'm excited to launch Train Tracks, an Apple-focused technology consulting practice helping businesses get more from Apple technology today — and prepare for what's coming next.
Why Apple?
Why now?
Apple celebrated 50 years in business earlier this year, and its ecosystem of interconnected products and services has never been stronger.
The iPhone has been the headliner since its launch in 2007. Now, in the age of AI, it is positioned to become what Apple calls an “intelligent personal hub” — bridging everyday business and personal computing with a new generation of AI- and agent-driven workflows.
MacBook Air and Pro have long been the laptops of choice for entrepreneurs, creatives and mobile professionals. Mac mini and Mac Studio now offer compelling platforms for developers, businesses and AI researchers. Apple silicon — including the latest M5 and M6 families — brings particular advantages to AI workloads, including the ability to run increasingly sophisticated models locally, with important benefits for privacy, security and cost.
And now there's Siri AI.
Apple's new generation of Siri has arrived alongside A20 Pro and the new iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo. The Duo, in particular, looks like an intriguing new form factor for work on the go.
Siri AI combines on-device intelligence and personal context with access to broader knowledge and cloud-based capabilities when needed. It can understand what's on your screen, work across apps and information, and help turn everyday requests into actions.
For businesses, I believe this opens an entirely new chapter in how people work with technology.
Why me?
I've spent my career helping businesses thrive through technology.
Most recently, I worked with Apple Business, leading a Washington, DC-area Apple Store business team supporting SMB and enterprise customers.
I've helped organizations ranging from one-person businesses to companies deploying hundreds of Macs, iPads and iPhones connect with the Apple ecosystem — whether moving from Windows to Mac, expanding an existing Apple deployment, or finding the right mix of technologies for the way their people actually work.
My focus has always been less about the technology itself and more about what people can accomplish with it.
What's next?
That's where Train Tracks comes in.
Let's start with a conversation about creating or expanding your Apple fleet, getting more from Apple's business services and device management, or improving business processes through Siri AI and agentic AI workflows across Mac, iPad and iPhone.
My longer-term plan is for Train Tracks to become a locus of connection — bringing together business users, consultants, trainers and developers who can help organizations put these technologies to work.
